Ceremony Boston x Bloom Native

It’s no secret that the winter months can be pretty slow for wedding vendors. The down time is well spent in preparation for the next season, but the volume you create at is far less than in the summer months. In order to keep the creative juices flowing in the freezing New England winter, I teamed up with Bloom Native and Ceremony Boston for a styled shoot - and it did not disappoint.

Located in Beacon Hill, Ceremony Boston is a stunning bridal boutique. The space is a photographer’s dream, with white walls, huge ceilings, and plenty of natural light coming streaming through the windows and skylight. It’s basically a giant softbox. Mei Wu, the owner and designer of Bloom Native, is a dear friend and a wildly talented wedding florist. She created all of the bouquets and arrangements used in the shoot, which were modeled by another friend, Sarah Hagen.

The afternoon we spent at Ceremony shooting, creating, and hanging out together is one of my favorite projects to date. I truly believe that community is the best way to thrive as an independent artist. Working together and pushing each other to break new creative boundaries is so much fun, and so rewarding. Team up with other artists, whether they work in or out of your specific medium. Creative diversity is vital to staying sharp and days like this one remind me of that.

A HUGE thank you to Ceremony Boston for allowing us to use their space, and for the generosity of Mei, Sarah, and Chase to execute this vision. This team was absolutely incredible to work with, and I can’t wait to tackle the next project with them.
