My oh my, where do I start?

I’ve known Amanda & Ryan for over a decade. Ryan was my first friend at the new school I transferred to back in sixth grade. Similarly, Amanda was an instant friend when she transferred to that same school the following year. In hindsight, it’s fitting that two of the kindest, most welcoming people I know would end up together. We would go on to complete middle school and high school together, only to ship off to the same college and graduate together four years later.

Now, I just glossed over a whole lot of time in that short little paragraph, so let me rephrase to emphasize the weight of this. If you told me ten years ago that I would watch two of my middle school best friends fall in love, date for five years, and get married, and that I would not only be a guest but the lead photographer at the wedding, my head would have spun off my shoulders. Not one of the three of us could have seen that coming. God has done some pretty incredible things in my life, but this is one of those stories that floors me every time I tell it.

The weight of it never gets old; the intricacy never gets dull.

Amanda & Ryan, thanks for being my friend all these years and for inviting me into your big day. You are loved.
